Participants Do Not Need to Take Leave from Their Lives or Ministries: The program is designed to meet the time constraints and demands placed on today’s adult learners. The curriculum is stretched over three years to enable enough time for the process of learning. Six terms: ?Doing Theology in Context ? Leading and Building community ? Communicating the Gospel ? Leading People in the Presence of God ? Missional Church Service and ? Spiritual Formation are taken over this period. Each term takes twenty-one weeks to complete.
Real World Application: Students will be equipped with the necessary problem-solving skills, theological method and content to respond to what God is doing in our world. This program twins pastors and seminary faculty to create a vibrant learning experience.
Shared Knowledge Between the Local Church and Seminary Faculty: The methodology employed in this course ensures that students engage pastors who are actively involved in local church ministry and academics who are dedicated to ministerial training. In cohort groups students will learn from each other and through research projects connect with broader society in an attempt to understand the burning questions of our time.
Modeling and Simulation: Students will have a unique learning experience with each other in cohort groups as they form learning communities. These cohort groups will explore reading together, embark on research projects and design and implement ministry plans. As a result, students will gain an understanding of the theories, principles, and also of practices from each module.
